I'm surprised how J.D. Crossan, a former Catholic priest, seems to miss the point about the mustard seed at 35:02. Surely Jesus was focusing on the size of the seed, 1 to 2 millimeters in diameter, so tiny yet with an amazing potential for growth. Not convinced that if Jesus had chosen a larger plant or tree for his message on faith his audience would have lost interest
