Very good and thought provoking talk guys, thank you. Especially interesting was thinking about what if humanity just keeps on going and going, and one question is, assuming that since we're here and it at least seems we are not common, then as a species there might be something special with us too, like not being necessarily finite as a species in terms of long term existence. And in mathematical terms none of our war events have been extinction level things for a long time, we don't wage wars that end up wiping out 100% of the opponents, or anything… Read more »

If artificial intelligence becomes perfectly altruistic, perhaps it goes from civilization to civilization and creating simulations to see if any life forms can become perfectly altruistic throughout their entire existence. If I was a limitlessly intelligent peaceful being, with no time limits, I would want to find another like me.
