I can’t say for certain that the name will be changed but it is disappointing to think that something so poignant which has history and meaning could just so easily be dismissed with so little thought on how it would affect the communities to which it served for several generations .

I discovered recently that there are plans to change the name of Brixton to East Clapham.
I usually would probably not pay attention to a name change but when an area is so significantly rich in history I really feel I have to voice and opinion. You may choose not to agree but I feel I have a valid point.
