I'm seeing white fragility in these comments, proving DiAngelo's point (a white woman). Taking this information seriously means upending what you believe, and to some, this is threatening. If race isn't a big thing to you, the question is, "why do you cling on to what you think you know?" How do you know that what you ~know~ is "true"? What are you losing? Controlled opposition. This isn’t even the real truth about Rosa Parks. It’s like no that wasn’t her, she was way more badass than that. Meanwhile, she was carefully organized to be on that bus by her civil rights group leaders. The thing went off without a hitch and she became an overnight celebrity, but that doesn’t mean she ever had anything to offer the black community.
