This presentation covers some aspects of the Quranic verses which point to various scientific discoveries. However, some are interpretations of metaphors, the knowledge about which will improve with the passage of time. The Quran is not a book of science; however, it has some verses which point to some aspects of the outer universe and to some phenomena of nature on the earth itself e.g. hydrological cycle, effect of salt on the density of water, rotation of the earth, the moon and the sun. The Quran is a book for the guidance of man for the establishment of the system of Deen.
Various examples are cited from the outer world and then relevant verses of the Quran are explained. Few questions were asked at the end and some discussion took place which covers issues of time and space, expansion of the universe, the law of contradictions, etc.
